Since the afternoon of the same day, when the Cau River water level showed signs of rising rapidly, the commune proactively deployed dike protection plans, built sandbags to reinforce along the route, especially at low road sections.
At around 8 p.m., water began to overflow onto the road surface in some locations. In response to this situation, the local government mobilized the Militia and Self-Defense Force, the security teams of 63 hamlets and local residents to join in on duty, transport sandbags and materials to handle the vulnerable points. In particular, the coordination of nearly 200 officers and soldiers of the Military Region Military School increased their support, making an important contribution to the work of protecting the dike and protecting the safety of the dike.
