On October 5, Miss Nguyen Thi Huyen posted photos from her charity trip in Tuyen Quang . She shared that every decision to do charity work makes her worry.

She explained that the hardest thing was to accept leaving when there were still many people who had not received help and had not had their tears wiped away.

"The way back is always more difficult than the way there. Hopefully the image of a flock of white storks flying from the dark clouds towards the sun at the end of this journey will be a beautiful signal for the following days. Life is beautiful," Miss Nguyen Thi Huyen shared.

According to her personal page, the volunteer group went from Tan Ky (Nghe An), Nong Cong (Thanh Hoa) to Tuyen Quang (old Ha Giang ).

Miss Vietnam 2004 said that after the storm and flood, Tuyen Quang was left with only mud and dirt. Two clean water plants were damaged and could not be restored. She said that the 1,000 barrels of water the group brought was just a small number compared to the needs of the people.

In Tan Ky, Nghe An , beauty queen Nguyen Thi Huyen compared clean water to holy water in her charity diary.

"At 8am on October 1st in Tan Ky commune, Nghe An. The first shipment was received by the people. Clean water at this time was like holy water. There were smiles, tears fell, there were emotions that cannot be described in words. Just seeing each other, everything was light. It's okay", she wrote.

Miss Nguyen Thi Huyen hopes that businesses producing clean water and food will reduce prices within their means for annual flood and storm relief trips to support more people.

Nguyen Thi Huyen was crowned Miss Vietnam 2004 at the age of 19. 21 years after her coronation, Miss Nguyen Thi Huyen still persistently participates in charity work. Previously, she believed that charity should be done quietly to accumulate virtue for her children, but later, she realized that calling on many people to participate would help charity work be more effective and socially meaningful.
