Go Dau District People's Council: Opening of the 7th session, term XII, term 2021-2026

Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Dai Thy - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Huynh Thanh Phuong - Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Nhu - Chairman of the District People's Committee.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan - Chairwoman of the District People's Council, Ms. Vuong Thi Thuy Oanh - Vice Chairwoman of the District People's Council chaired the meeting.

The meeting approved reports of the Standing Committee of the District People's Council, the District People's Committee, and two District People's Council Committees; announcements of the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on the work of participating in government building and reports of a number of law enforcement agencies.

At the meeting, a vote of confidence will be taken for those holding positions elected or approved by the People's Council; discussion, questioning and answering questions on urgent issues of voters in the district and passing Resolutions of the People's Council.

The leaders of the district People's Committee reported at the meeting that in 2023, the district's economy will continue to develop steadily. The district has achieved and exceeded the plan for 10/12 main targets and 8/8 industry development targets. The total area for planting all kinds of trees is more than 24,600 hectares, an increase of more than 9% over the same period, the whole district has 11 products granted 3-star OCOP certificates and 1 product achieving 4 stars.

The value of agricultural production, industry - construction and trade - services all increased compared to the same period. The estimated total production value reached more than 67,000 billion VND, an increase of more than 11% compared to the same period.

By November 20, 2023, budget revenue was more than 295 billion VND, reaching nearly 125% of the plan assigned by the province; budget expenditure was nearly 479 billion VND, reaching more than 99% of the province's plan, down nearly 4.8% over the same period.

The district implemented construction of 73 new basic construction projects, put 69 projects into use and estimated capital disbursement volume reached 100% as planned.

The implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction has achieved many positive results, with 8/8 communes meeting new rural standards, of which Bau Don commune has met the model new rural standards and Phuoc Dong commune has met the advanced new rural standards.

Cultural, social and environmental fields in the district are well implemented, political security is maintained stably.
