Recently, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced its decision to prosecute Mr. Chen Zhi, Chairman of Prince Holding Group based in Cambodia, on charges of running a global online fraud ring, money laundering and using forced labor.
The DOJ seized 127,271 bitcoins worth an estimated $15 billion from the billionaire, in what observers say is the largest cryptocurrency asset seizure in DOJ history.
However, the majority of Chen Zhi's assets were either spent in the UK or held through companies based in the British Virgin Islands.
Chen Zhi's London mansion has marble floors, walnut paneling, seven master bedrooms and three staff rooms, a cinema, a gym, a swimming pool, and an underground garage with a car lift.

According to the US Department of Justice, Chen Zhi and his associates used their profits to buy luxury watches, yachts, private jets, resort villas, high-end collectibles and rare works of art, including a Picasso painting purchased through an auction house in New York (USA).
In addition to the 127,271 bitcoins seized, the British government has also announced the freezing of more than £130 million in assets linked to the Cambodian billionaire, including 19 properties, including a £12 million mansion in northwest London.
According to the Prince Holding Group website, in Cambodia, Chen Zhi has expanded his business into many areas, including real estate development, banking, finance and consumer services.
Not only stopping at the business field, Chen Zhi's name also became famous in the education field when he was the person behind the Chen Zhi scholarship fund.
In addition, through the Prince Foundation, Chen Zhi has also donated more than 16 million USD in recent years to support the local community with many humanitarian activities and initiatives.
However, few people know that under the "perfect cover", the Chinese tycoon successfully ran a digital fraud network that spread globally, using Cambodia as a transit point and laundering money worth billions of dollars.
Prince Holding Group is also one of the largest multi-industry corporations in Cambodia, with three key investment areas: real estate development, financial services and consumer services.
Through its member companies, Prince Holding Group currently owns more than 100 different businesses in diverse industries, and is estimated to have invested more than 2 billion USD in projects in Cambodia.
