On the morning of November 20, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Business Association, former Chairman of Binh Thuan Business Association (old) led a delegation to congratulate Saigon Industrial and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SAIGONBANK) Binh Thuan Branch (67-67A Tran Hung Dao Street, Phu Thuy Ward, Lam Dong Province), on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the unit.

SAIGONBANK is a joint stock commercial bank, in which the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (including the Party Committee Office and Companies under the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee) holds controlling shares (over 65%), established on October 16, 1987.

Mr. Huynh Hong Thinh, Director of SAIGONBANK Binh Thuan Branch, welcomed the delegation and informed that when the branch was put into operation, SAIGONBANK committed to contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality through providing capital support for small and medium enterprises, farmers, and small traders in production and business. Up to now, the unit has transferred capital from the Head Office to invest in production and business in Binh Thuan (old) with outstanding loans accounting for about 60% of the total mobilized capital of the branch. The unit always complies with the regulations of the Government, the State Bank, and local policies. Thanks to that, over the past 18 years, the unit has operated stably, outstanding loans have grown well, bad debts have always been controlled within the permitted ratio of the State Bank, and the lives of its employees have been well taken care of.

Mr. Thinh added that the branch's strengths focus on agricultural and rural development, trade and services with outstanding loans accounting for over 60%. Evidence is that the unit's two transaction offices in Bac Binh (197 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Bac Binh commune) and Ham Tan (at 35-37 Cach Mang Thang 8, Ham Tan commune) have good growth in outstanding loans, accounting for 30% of the branch's outstanding loans. In addition, the branch also has a transaction office in Ham Tien tourist area (245 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Mui Ne), contributing to increasing the number of customers in trade and tourism services. With the sustainable motto of serving customers wholeheartedly, contributing to limiting black credit, the unit complies with bringing capital to communes, wards, local markets and even to people's homes.
