At noon on June 9, the press conference before the Malaysia - Vietnam match in the second round of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup took place in Kuala Lumpur. This match will take place at 8pm tomorrow (June 10) at Bukit Jalil Stadium, which has a capacity of 90,000 spectators.
Speaking at a press conference, coach Kim Sang Sik said: "Although tomorrow's match with Malaysia is the first leg, to reach the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup, this is an important match, and perhaps the most difficult for us. The Vietnamese team will use all of the team's inherent capabilities to win."
Talking about Malaysia's naturalized foreign players, coach Kim Sang Sik shared: "I have said that this will be a difficult match for the Vietnamese team. As far as I know, out of the 30 Malaysian players gathered this time, there are 18 players we do not know yet. In the upcoming match, there will also be about 5 new players participating in the competition for Malaysia.
This has made it difficult for us to evaluate the opposing players or analyze tactics. However, the whole team tried to prepare well, using all their abilities and solidarity to prepare for tomorrow's match."

Coach Kim Sang Sik still expressed confidence in his opponents despite his high opinion of them. He said: "Football is a difficult sport even when you know the opponent's tactics. The result will be decided based on each team's preparation.
In the past, the Vietnamese team has had good results when meeting Malaysia. I hope the whole team will maintain the positive energy mentioned above tomorrow. All of our players have been well prepared, I believe they will play well tomorrow."
The Korean coach also affirmed that the Vietnamese team is always ready for every match. "I think we should focus on the positive aspects instead of the pressure. As a national team, every match will be pressured. So, we must try to find the positive aspects in the matches to have a good performance."
For his part, captain Do Duy Manh shared: "Tomorrow is a very important match for the Vietnamese team on the away field. Personally, I think this will be a difficult match. But the whole team has prepared tactics to achieve the best results against Malaysia. The whole team follows the tactics built by the coaching staff to play at their best."
