4 Vietnamese players may start in the match against MU
The schedule for round 24 of the V-League 2024 - 2025 has been adjusted to not compete during the two days of National Mourning, May 24 - 25, and has been moved to May 26 and 27. This has led to changes in the travel plans of the 4 stars of the Vietnamese national team participating in the friendly match with MU Club in Malaysia.
Even Duy Manh, Hai Long and Van Vi were at risk of not being able to play due to their tight schedule. However, coach Kim Sang-sik still decided to keep all four players in the Southeast Asian All Star squad.
According to the new plan, after completing round 24 of V-League on May 26, players Duy Manh, Hai Long and Van Vi will fly to Malaysia on the morning of May 27.

It is expected that these 3 players will only have 1 day to prepare for the friendly match with MU - the English team that just lost in the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.
Hoang Duc will arrive in Kuala Lumpur earlier, from May 25, with coach Kim Sang-sik and the coaching staff. The Korean coach will carefully assess the physical condition of each player to use them appropriately in the match taking place on the evening of May 28.
Immediately after the match, Coach Kim Sang-sik and all four players will return home to prepare for the Vietnam national team gathering on May 29, before moving to Malaysia on June 6 to prepare for the away match on June 10, within the framework of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
