Answering a question from Dan Tri newspaper reporter about this goal, coach Okiyama Masahiko of the Vietnam U19 women's team said: "Hong Minh has practiced similar situations. Besides Hong Minh, during this year's Southeast Asian U19 Women's Tournament, we also scored another goal from a long-range shot."

“The girls of the Vietnam U19 women’s team always have the awareness to take advantage of set pieces. These goals are not necessarily due to luck,” added coach Okiyama Masahiko.

After defeating Indonesia 4-0 in the semi-finals, Vietnam U19 women's team will meet Thailand in the final. Before the final match of the Southeast Asian Youth Championship tomorrow night (June 18), coach Okiyama Masahiko assessed his opponent Thailand: "They are a strong team. In previous tournaments, Vietnam U19 women's team lost to Thailand U19 women's team. I have studied these matches, but I don't want to mention it again."

“We have kept a clean sheet since the beginning of the tournament. However, I think the opponents in the outside matches and the opponents in the final are very different. The Vietnam U19 women's team needs to make more efforts. Our goal is still to win the championship,” coach Okiyama Masahiko affirmed.

Another issue that the Japanese coach mentioned before the final match at 6:30 pm tomorrow night is that it might rain. Ho Chi Minh City is in the rainy season, with heavy rain likely in the afternoon and evening.

Coach Okiyama Masahiko commented: “Before the tournament, we also studied the weather issue. We also prepared a plan to play in the rain, as well as prepare a penalty shootout plan when necessary.”

Meanwhile, coach Nuengrutai Srathongvian of Thailand’s U19 women’s team shared: “Vietnam’s U19 women’s team is a strong team, I am impressed with their player number 9 (Hoang Van) and number 19 (Thanh Hieu). However, we will be determined to win the final match.”

In the upcoming final, if the two regular periods end in a draw, the two sides will play extra time. If the extra time still ends in a draw, the two teams will decide the winner by a penalty shootout.
