According to the announcement from VPF, coach Viet Thang will not be on duty in round 19 due to receiving 3 yellow cards. The head coach of Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club received a yellow card in the 41st minute of the victory over PVF-CAND.

Previously, coach Viet Thang received 2 yellow cards for his reaction. According to the regulations, officials or players who receive 3 yellow cards will be suspended from duty in the next round.

Another member of Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club who also had to sit outside the technical area was physiotherapist Nguyen Van Khanh. Van Khanh received a red card after the match with PVF-CAND ended.

The 1-0 victory over PVF-CAND in round 18 caused Phu Dong Ninh Binh to lose 2 members of the coaching staff. The match was tense in the final minutes when the home team was pressured by PVF-CAND.

Even the visiting team's coach Thach Bao Khanh criticized Phu Dong Ninh Binh's playing style in the final minutes, saying: "We're champions, why do we have to do that?", making the atmosphere tense.

The reason is, losing 0-1 to Phu Dong Ninh Binh, PVF-CAND had the gap for second place (play-off spot for promotion to V-League) increased to 7 points on the First Division rankings by Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc.

Meanwhile, Phu Dong Ninh Binh with a team of many stars and outstanding performance has one hand on the championship and a direct promotion to V-League 2025-2026.

The Ninh Binh team has 46 points, 15 wins, 1 draw and no losses. They are 6 points ahead of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc and will soon be promoted before the tournament ends in round 22.

In round 19 of the 2024-2025 First Division, 5 other players were "suspended": Nguyen Xuan Binh (HCMC Youth Club), Nguyen Quoc Loc and Vu Duc Duy (Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc), Nguyen Nhu Y (Long An Club) and Ngo Hoang Quan (Hue).
