"Ho Chi Minh and his journey to realize the aspiration for independence, freedom, and happiness"

To commemorate the 113th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek a path to national salvation (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2024), the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House, has published the book "Ho Chi Minh and the Journey to Realize the Aspiration for Independence, Freedom, and Happiness".

President Ho Chi Minh - a national liberation hero and outstanding cultural figure - dedicated his entire life and career to the Vietnamese nation, embodying the noble aspiration for national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, the happiness and prosperity of the people, and the progress of humanity.

The book "Ho Chi Minh and the journey to realize the aspiration for independence, freedom, and happiness".

Driven by a burning desire to save the country, liberate the nation, and liberate the people, in 1911, the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh left Nha Rong Wharf, determined to find a way to save the country. During his arduous journey through many countries and continents, working various jobs to earn a living, immersing himself in the lives of the world's working people, and participating in various activities and movements, he came to Marxism-Leninism and chose the correct path to national salvation through the proletarian revolution.

Through concrete actions, he propagated Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam, integrating it into the workers' movement and the patriotic struggle; trained core cadres; established the Communist Party of Vietnam; encouraged, motivated, and united the masses in various forms of national united fronts, political organizations, and associations appropriate to the requirements of each stage of the revolution, in order to unleash the strength of national unity and "liberate ourselves with our own strength." The great victories of the August Revolution of 1945 and the two wars of resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism are powerful and convincing evidence of the wise and skillful leadership of our Party, headed by President Ho Chi Minh, on the journey to realize his aspiration for "Independence - Freedom - Happiness."

In the Ho Chi Minh era, "Independence - Freedom - Happiness" was not only an aspiration but also an invaluable set of values, becoming the way of life and revolutionary ideal that President Ho Chi Minh, our Party, and the people steadfastly pursued. It was this ideal that became the driving force for our people to wholeheartedly follow the Party.

The tremendous and historically significant achievements of the country's renovation over the past nearly 40 years continue to affirm that the renovation line of the Communist Party of Vietnam, based on the foundation of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, is correct, creative, and in line with Vietnam's reality and the development trends of the times, aiming for the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization."

In order to systematize Ho Chi Minh's thought, analyze and clarify President Ho Chi Minh's aspirations for national independence and socialism; and his great activities and contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause on the journey to realize these aspirations, the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House, has published the book "Ho Chi Minh and the Journey to Realize the Aspiration for Independence, Freedom, and Happiness".

This is a meticulously researched and serious work. Besides the Foreword and Conclusion, the book is divided into three parts with fifteen chapters. Part I: Ho Chi Minh - The aspiration for national independence and reunification. Part II: Ho Chi Minh - The aspiration for freedom and happiness for the Vietnamese people. Part III: Successfully realizing the aspiration for a strong, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam according to Ho Chi Minh's thought.

Using the methodology of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, and the specialized research methods of Ho Chi Minh studies and interdisciplinary approaches from the social sciences and humanities, this book delves into analyzing and clarifying Ho Chi Minh's aspirations for independence, freedom, and happiness, and the journey he took to realize those aspirations step by step in the practical realities of the Vietnamese revolution. It also represents the journey of our nation towards increasingly greater victories on the path of national independence linked with socialism. This is a meticulously and seriously researched work, affirming the vibrant vitality and immense value of Ho Chi Minh's thought for the Vietnamese revolution. He will forever be a symbol of the essence, spirit, and soul of the Vietnamese people, of the Vietnamese nation's aspirations for liberation and development, and an outstanding symbol of humanity's aspirations for peace and progress.

The book also serves as a valuable reference for officials, Party members, and the public who wish to delve deeper into the significance and immense value of Ho Chi Minh's legacy.
