Located about 23km from the center of Ha Giang city, Noong Lake not only brings great relaxation but is also a place to enjoy outstanding specialties, especially the unique Bitter Fish dish only available here. Noong Lake in Phu Linh commune, Vi Xuyen district is a natural lake formed from two swamps Pum Ang and Pum Yeu. The lake is divided into two areas, Noong Lake 1 and Noong Lake 2. Most of the water in this lake is from large caves, so the water here is extremely clear, gentle and cool. Surrounding the lake are undulating mountains of rock and soil along with vast primeval forests of up to 700 hectares. Rich flora and terraced fields, along with stilt houses hidden at the foot of the mountain, all create a fascinating landscape and mysterious beauty of the lake.

A poetic Noong Lake with cool, gentle blue water

During this holiday, Ms. Mai Thi Van's family from Tran Phu ward, Ha Giang city, decided to choose Noong Lake to relax and explore local cuisine . According to Ms. Van, Noong Lake is a convenient tourist destination near the city, with a cool climate and many delicious dishes. She shared: "The memories of many Ha Giang people always mention Noong Lake as a paradise in the mountains and forests of Ha Giang. Noong Lake with its charming landscape and wild and amazing nature always leaves a deep impression on visitors."

The family of Ms. Tran Thi Xuyen, from Minh Khai Ward, Ha Giang City, also chose Noong Lake as their destination during the National Day holiday. Ms. Xuyen said: "My children are very excited about the wild space and majestic landscape here. The children got to experience fishing, enjoy ethnic dishes and especially the Bitter Fish dish that can only be found at Noong Lake. This was a very meaningful trip for our family."

Recently, Noong Lake has started to retain water again, and tourism services have gradually recovered. Currently, 12 households in Noong 1 and Noong 2 villages have built 14 raft houses with roofs made of palm leaves and corrugated iron to serve tourists.

Mr. Ly Thanh Diep, a raft owner who rents out rafts to guests, shared: "Since Noong Lake has water again, we have made rafts ourselves to serve tourists. Since then, I and the locals here have had a more stable source of income. During the recent holidays, the number of visitors has doubled compared to normal days, we couldn't serve them all."

The number of tourists coming to Noong Lake is increasing day by day.

According to statistics from the village management board, since April, Noong Lake has always welcomed a stable number of visitors. With the 4-day holiday and at this time there were many heavy rains, so Noong Lake has accumulated a lot of water and tourism services are gradually returning.

Noong Lake is increasingly becoming an attractive destination for tourists from within and outside the province, thanks to its beautiful natural landscape and unique cultural experiences. During the National Day holiday on September 2 this year, Noong Lake will certainly continue to attract many tourists to enjoy the fresh air, explore the wild beauty and enjoy the attractive specialties.
