30/8 Square (Ea Sup town, Ea Sup district) was filled with a vibrant and joyful atmosphere when many people from the border area came to the friendship exchange program "Border Love" organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province in coordination with the Department of Culture - Arts of Mondulkiri province (Kingdom of Cambodia), the People's Committee of Ea Sup district and related units.

In a warm and sincere atmosphere, artists and actors from the two provinces performed impressive art performances praising the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia; the close solidarity and friendship between the two provinces of Dak Lak and Mondulkiri; praising the beautiful life, promoting the unique cultural and artistic features of the two countries. The diversity of genres, along with the enthusiastic performance of professional and non-professional actors, and border guards, brought an emotional program.

Outstanding performances include: “Border friendship, solidarity”, “Kouc T'ro Loc” dance, “Congratulations” dance... by an art troupe from Mondulkiri province; “Mondulkiri - Dak Lak Samaki” choir, “Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Song”, traditional musical instrument ensemble by troupes from Dak Lak province, or the male solo performance “Volunteer soldier and Apsara dance” performed by the Director of the Center for Communication - Culture - Sports of Ea Sup district, Nguyen Manh Cuong, in an emotional and profound manner...

Art has brought people closer together when they enjoyed and gave warm applause to each performance. The program has spread more widely and quickly when many people promptly recorded beautiful moments and shared live videos on social networking sites.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoa (Ea Sup town) happily said that the program has a very special meaning, not only because of the elaborately staged art performances, but also because it honors and praises the close relationship between the two provinces of Dak Lak and Mondulkiri.

Coming to the border district of Ea Sup for the first time, Mr. Yean Ratha (actor of the Song and Dance Troupe under the Department of Culture and Arts of Mondulkiri province) expressed his pride at being selected to participate in such a big and important event in Dak Lak. He shared: “I feel very touched when the program is enthusiastically supported by the people. I hope that in the future there will be more exchange programs like this. If possible, it can be organized annually in a rotating format between countries, so that cadres, people, especially people in border areas, have the opportunity to understand more about the culture and art of the two countries, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia”.

The friendship exchange program “Border Love” is an important activity to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia (June 24, 1967 - June 24, 2025). The success of the program has affirmed the efforts of the authorities and people of the two provinces in constantly cultivating the good solidarity and increasingly strong cooperation between the two provinces of Dak Lak - Mondulkiri, contributing to building a peaceful, stable and sustainable border area.

According to Director of the Department of Culture and Arts of Mondulkiri Province Sok Ty Khea Vut, Dak Lak and Mondulkiri are two provinces with similarities in many aspects, including culture and arts, especially the traditional culture of indigenous ethnic minorities. In recent times, the two provinces have had many successful cooperation programs in many fields, including culture and arts.

“The friendship exchange program “Tham tinh bien cuong” has a special meaning, helping us understand more about the culture and art of the people of Dak Lak province in particular and the people of Vietnam in general. This is an opportunity for the people of the two provinces to exchange, connect, learn and understand more deeply the traditions between the two countries. At the same time, it educates and encourages the younger generation to continue the traditions of their ancestors, thereby having a deep awareness, motivation and responsibility to constantly foster the good values ​​of the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two peoples”, Mr. Sok Ty Khea Vut expressed.

Closing the program, when the song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day" resounded, on the stage was shown the image of Uncle Ho with the red flag with a yellow star fluttering, all the delegates, artists and people stood up, held hands and sang together, their hearts beating together towards the upcoming great event of Vietnam, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
