On the morning of July 30, Hoa Phat Group announced that it had just signed a contract to supply 2,000 20DC containers to Hapag-Lloyd, the largest container shipping company in Germany and one of the Top 5 container shipping companies in the world. This event opens up opportunities for strategic cooperation, while affirming that containers manufactured by Hoa Phat meet international standards in the most demanding markets.
Attending the signing ceremony were senior leaders from Hapag-Lloyd, Ms. Andrea Schöning, CEO of Container; Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group and General Director of Hoa Phat Steel Products Joint Stock Company and the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company.
According to Ms. Andrea Schöning, CEO of container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd, one of the leading industrial manufacturing corporations in Vietnam, the factory produces container Hoa Phat's modern factory meets international standards and provides high-quality products. Therefore, the cooperation between Hapag-Lloyd and Hoa Phat not only improves the efficiency of the supply chain but also strengthens Hapag-Lloyd's long-term presence in the Vietnamese market, contributing to supporting the regional economy .
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Vu Duc Sinh, Director of Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, said that this shipment of 2,000 20DC containers was designed with many advanced features, reinforced chassis to transport heavy goods, meeting the requirements of the maritime transport market.
To ensure quality, each container is inspected by Hapag-Lloyd-appointed inspectors and a recognized classification society. The container has a maximum load capacity of 32,500 kg, the door is equipped with anti-theft hinges and a special positioning device for easy monitoring during transportation. This is one of the advantages that helps Hapag-Lloyd bring customers the safest and most transparent products.
“Hoa Phat is proud to be a partner with Hapag-Lloyd. After this shipment, the two units will continue to cooperate on a larger scale in the future,” Mr. Vu Duc Sinh expressed, adding that since the container factory began operating, Hapag-Lloyd has organized many visits and exchanges with Hoa Phat, including inspections and tests to ensure that the container shells meet the set standards.
Container shells are manufactured at Hoa Phat container factory in Phu My II Industrial Park, Phu My town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Hoa Phat containers are designed and manufactured according to international standards, fully meeting technical requirements for transporting goods across continents. The entire process from input materials, production to product acceptance is strictly controlled by an advanced, highly automated quality management system.
As a special product with the majority of exports, Hoa Phat hopes to receive maximum support in terms of policies and administrative procedures from state agencies to facilitate container exports, contributing to promoting export, increase foreign currency revenue, enhance Vietnam's position in the global container manufacturing industry and international transportation sector.
With many years of experience in industrial production, Hoa Phat aims to optimize production management, expand the market to soon reach product design capacity, and take advantage of market opportunities. logistics It is expected that the Group will study and invest in phase 2 at the appropriate time to reach a total capacity of 500,000 TEU/year.
