After careful preparation, artist Nguyen Minh Son organized his first solo exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City - Fragrance and Color, which just opened at The World ArtSpace (No. 21 Vo Truong Toan, Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).

The author introduces to the art-loving public of Ho Chi Minh City a collection of 16 landscape oil paintings and 20 paintings of the 12 zodiac animals, very vivid.
Painter Nguyen Minh Son was born in Bac Ninh, graduated from Hanoi University of Fine Arts in 2000 (now Vietnam University of Fine Arts). In recent times, he has had many solo exhibitions in the country and around the world (in England, America, Japan, Netherlands, Korea, Singapore...).
Artist Nguyen Minh Son's works are always full of emotion. Many of his landscape paintings of his homeland have been chosen by State leaders as gifts for Vietnamese ambassadors abroad and international organizations.

At the exhibition "Fragrance and Color" , many Southern viewers expressed surprise at the instinctive, naive and rustic painting style of painter Nguyen Minh Son. Sharing with the press at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Minh Son said: "I paint the 12 zodiac animals not by reflecting what I see but by feeling the changes of all things in heaven and earth, about the revival of creation. I paint with the spirit of thinking about it, not looking at it to paint".
He said: "Somewhere, people also see my image through symbolic animals. In my paintings, there is no human image, but there is still a space full of life. That vitality is expressed through each stroke that seems both careless and calculated in a composition that at first glance seems random, but in fact has considered every detail."
Vietnamese culture, Vietnamese soul, Vietnamese landscape are always present in the works of painter Nguyen Minh Son.
The exhibition " Fragrance and Color" by artist Nguyen Minh Son will last until October 10.
