At the Ngu Xa Pearl Island Food Square, many students in Hanoi contributed to help the artists quickly complete the Panorama painting "Hanoi: Resistance - Construction - Innovation" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.
The 12-meter long, 2.3-meter high painting, created by three generations of artists, is being rushed to completion at the Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa Food Square to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.
The painting shows the indomitable will of the army and people of Hanoi in the resistance war against French colonialism as well as the spirit of endurance, hard work, and unity in building the Fatherland after the country was at peace and unified.
The painting is divided into three sections, each section bears a historical mark and the development of the country.
Section 1, titled Resistance, will recreate Truc Bach in 1946, where the Yen Phu power plant mine explosion took place - signaling the nationwide resistance. The battle scene on the small streets will be vividly depicted, recalling the sacrifices and bravery of our army and people.
Section 2, titled Construction, will recreate Truc Bach and Hanoi after peace was restored, a period marking the recovery, reconstruction and building of the country.
Section 3, titled Doi Moi, will take viewers back to Truc Bach today, with its strong socio -economic development, from the vibrant Night Food Street to the Metro Line 6 project, symbolizing the historical and cultural heritage values and bright future of Ba Dinh district as well as the capital Hanoi.
The artists rushed to complete the painting but could not lack meticulousness when drawing that painting.
Each brush stroke is meticulously drawn and sharp.
Painter Nguyen Dan Quoc said: “This painting wants to talk about 3 stages of Hanoi to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. The meaning of each stage is: the first stage is the war period in 1946, the second stage is about the subsidy period after the war, the third stage is about the development of the country. This painting started on September 29, and is expected to be completed in 1 week.”
Students were excited to contribute to the painting to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
Nguyen Khanh Vy (student of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School) shared: "I feel very happy and proud to participate in drawing the picture to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital."
The painting "Hanoi: Resistance - Construction - Innovation" will be exhibited from October 5 to October 10, 2024 at the Ngoc Dao Ngu Xa Night Food Street, helping Hanoi lovers learn about the culture and history of the capital through the form of community art.
