In 2025, Party committees and authorities at all levels focused on leading and directing the organization and implementation of the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, ensuring strictness, seriousness and high responsibility.

The Provincial Military Command (Standing Agency of the Provincial Military Service Council) coordinates with relevant departments, branches and sectors to guide and inspect localities in implementing the 2025 military recruitment process to ensure compliance with the Law on Military Service.

Based on the targets assigned by the Prime Minister and Military Region 7, the target for recruiting citizens to join the army assigned to Lam Dong province is 1,200 citizens and adding 2 female citizens eligible for military service (Da Lat city 1, Duc Trong district 1).

Assign troops to units: Army Academy (Ministry of National Defense), Electronic Warfare Brigade 98 (General Staff), Engineering Brigade 293 (Engineer Corps), Infantry Division 302, Artillery Brigade 75, Air Defense Brigade 77, Military School of Military Region 7, Guard Battalion 180 (Military Region 7); Infantry Regiment 994 (Provincial Military Command).

Comrade Huynh Thi Phuong Duyen - Director of the Department of Health discussed the issue of military service examination at the Conference.

Localities have organized gathering orders in communes, wards and towns. The total number of orders issued is 1,260 young people; of which, 1,202 young people are officially on reserve and 58 young people are on reserve, reaching a reserve rate of 4.8%.

As a result, 1,202/1,202 citizens were assigned to join the army, reaching 100% of the target. Of these, 29 were party members (including 23 official party members, reaching 1.91%). Health category 1 and 2 were 740 citizens, accounting for 61.5%; health category 3 was 462 citizens, accounting for 38.5%.

Comrade Ndu ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union discussed the role of the Youth Union in encouraging young people to join the army.

To carry out the assigned target, the Provincial Military Command received 125 citizens to join the army and organized training for new soldiers at Infantry Regiment 994.

Regarding the implementation of the obligation to join the People's Public Security in 2025, the Provincial Public Security coordinated with the Provincial Military Command to advise the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Military Service Council to properly implement the process. As a result, 299 citizens (including 1 female) were recruited. Quality: 299 high school citizens, 18 university citizens, 29 college citizens, 5 intermediate citizens. There are 49 citizens who are ethnic minorities, 8 citizens are party members, 284 citizens have health status of type 1 and type 2.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Dung - Chairman of Da Huoai District People's Committee - the unit that did a good job in selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025, gave a speech at the Conference.

In 2025, Lam Dong province will complete 100% of the assigned targets for selecting and calling citizens to join the army, in which the criteria for technical expertise will increase compared to 2024.

At the Conference, sectors and localities discussed the current difficulties, shortcomings and limitations in the selection and calling of citizens to join the army in 2025.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results achieved in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025. In addition, he also raised the issues that are arising, including the fact that the propaganda and education work on the Law on Military Service is not regular, continuous and lacks diversity and innovation; the work of checking the source and managing citizens joining the army still has many problems; the number of young people joining the army who are civil servants, public employees, children of officials, and have university and college degrees is still low.

To fulfill this task well in 2026, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities, agencies and units to continue to raise awareness of the whole society, especially the young generation, about the obligations and honor of citizens when joining the army, and strictly comply with the Law on Military Service.

Urgently consolidate and improve the Military Service Councils at all levels in accordance with the arrangement of government levels and administrative agencies. Strengthen the role of government committees and grassroots organizations to ensure publicity, transparency and fairness in selection, especially for children of state officials and civil servants; do a good job of verifying the background and moral standards of young people joining the army.

Implement well the military rear policy; provide timely counseling, career guidance, vocational training, and job referrals for demobilized soldiers. Resolutely and strictly handle violations of the Law on Military Service in accordance with the provisions of the law.
