Up to now, the whole Hoang Thu Pho commune (Bac Ha) has 170 hectares of Tai nung pear trees, with 100 participating households.

Currently, Hoang Thu Pho commune has 3 hectares of Tai nung pears for harvest.

Implementing Resolution No. 10 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the Strategy for developing agricultural commodities in Lao Cai province to 2030, with a vision to 2050, since 2022, Hoang Thu Pho commune has focused on expanding the area of ​​Tai nung pear trees in the direction of commodity production associated with agricultural tourism.

Up to now, the whole Hoang Thu Pho commune has 170 hectares of Tai nung pear trees, with 100 participating households, of which 3 hectares have been harvested, the rest is newly planted and under care.

Currently, for pear trees that have produced fruit, the selling price is quite stable. For each hectare of pears that produce fruit, people can earn over 150 million VND. The income from pears will increase sharply in the following years when the pear trees grow strongly and produce more fruit.

The commune has identified the Tai Nung pear tree as a key crop to increase income and alleviate poverty for the people. According to the plan, in 2024, the entire Hoang Thu Pho commune will plant 20 hectares of Tai Nung pear trees, increasing the pear area to 190 hectares.
