On July 27, at Binh Duong Labor Culture Center, An Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation organized a program to award Nguyen Duc Canh city-level scholarships in 2025 and take care of female workers in difficult circumstances.
This program is organized at 3 locations in Ho Chi Minh City, the first location is in Binh Duong province (old), followed by Ba Ria-Vung Tau province (old) and Ho Chi Minh City with the aim of facilitating the participation of children and workers.
At the venues, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation awarded 900 Nguyen Duc Canh city-level scholarships in 2025, presented gifts to female workers in difficult circumstances, and presented 900 gifts to union members and workers in 9 local management groups.
Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Nguyen Kim Loan said: The program to award Nguyen Duc Canh city-level scholarships in 2025 and take care of female workers in difficult circumstances aims to practically celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 2029 - July 28, 2025).
The program also strengthens the care for children of workers, laborers, and union members who are in difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies and lives; cares for female workers in difficult circumstances; thereby encouraging workers, civil servants, and laborers to stick with the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
On July 27, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation awarded the 2025 city-level Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships to 300 students who are children of workers and union members who are in difficult circumstances and have made efforts to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.
Each scholarship is worth more than 2.1 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash, 1 health check voucher and 1 gift worth more than 1.1 million VND.
At the program, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation presented 240 gifts to female workers in difficult circumstances; each gift worth 2.1 million VND includes: 500,000 VND in cash, 1 health check-up voucher, general examination service and gifts.
On this occasion, the City Labor Federation presented 100 gifts to workers, each gift worth 2.1 million VND including 1 million VND in cash, 1 health check voucher and 1 gift. These are the gifts in a total of 900 gifts organized by the City Labor Federation to present to 900 union members and workers in the area.
Speaking at the program, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong said: The Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship program of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Confederation is a typical example of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in taking care of workers' children, contributing to conveying the message to students and workers' children in the whole city to continue to compete, achieve high achievements in studying, cultivate ideals, ethics, lifestyle, dare to dream and strive to realize dreams, contribute talent, intelligence, youth, contribute with the country to enter the era of strong and prosperous development.
Appreciating the work of caring for workers in difficult circumstances, especially female workers, of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong suggested that union officials at all levels continue to seek support from party committees and authorities at all levels to effectively implement activities to care for workers.
