Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the Vietnamese people have achieved enormous achievements in the cause of defending the Fatherland and building the country, especially admirable results in the renovation process.
On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), in an interview with a reporter from the Vietnam News Agency in Buenos Aires on January 28, scholar Gastón Fiorda, a Southeast Asian affairs expert at the National Radio of Argentina (RNA), affirmed that throughout its 94 years of formation and development, the Communist Party of Vietnam has demonstrated its mettle and talent in adapting flexibly to all challenges of the times.
Journalist Fiorda, who has spent many years researching President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese history, believes that in a world that is constantly changing and full of challenges, the Vietnamese people, under the leadership of the Communist Party, have always demonstrated the ability to adapt to all circumstances to develop, even in times when the whole world fell into tragic situations such as the recent Covid-19 pandemic, or the expansion of capitalism.
Talking about his recent real life experience in Vietnam, journalist Fiorda said that after six years of returning to work in Vietnam, he was extremely impressed with Vietnam's development achievements, especially the public transport infrastructure as well as modern urban areas, life has improved significantly with a growing middle class, an aspirational young generation, integrated into society with full conditions to develop and demonstrate their talents.
All these achievements are thanks to the correct orientation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, creating a stable society both politically and legally, with long-term development policies and programs.
According to Mr. Fiorda, Vietnam always promotes economic development, diversifies and expands cooperative relations with all countries, and especially always preserves cultural identity, without losing national traditions.
With a population of 100 million, cultural values such as respect for teachers, respect for the elderly, freedom to practice beliefs and religions, and the right of each citizen to develop their full potential are clearly demonstrated in daily life in Vietnam.
This shows the wise leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in leading the people not only in political and economic aspects but also in cultural and social life.
Referring to Vietnam's foreign policy, Mr. Fiorda highlighted the unique value of the "bamboo diplomacy" school that has brought Vietnam an increasingly larger role in the international arena.
He assessed that in the context of competition between major countries, Vietnam has demonstrated its practicality, understanding and adaptability, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, taking advantage of favorable international factors to serve the cause of innovation, protecting and enhancing the country's position.
Mr. Fiorda affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam has been “flexible” and “made the most of” its relations with major countries and the world, creating a strategic balance in those relations, on the basis of always respecting independence and the right to national self-determination.
The clearest evidence is that in the past year, Vietnam welcomed many heads of state, especially in September, US President Joe Biden visited Vietnam and in December, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping also visited Vietnam.
Vietnam, which has relations with nearly 200 countries around the world, has made the most of free trade agreements with countries and regions, actively and proactively integrated deeply into the activities of multilateral organizations, as well as promoted international cooperation on a global scale.
“Today, Vietnam has an extremely important position in ASEAN and can sit on par with any European or Asian country and discuss any topic. Under the leadership of the Communist Party, Vietnam has gained an important position in the international arena,” said expert Fiorda.
Journalist Fiorda, who is in charge of the program “Argentina Hello Vietnam” in Spanish, a joint program between the National Radio of Argentina and the Foreign Affairs Department (VOV5), Voice of Vietnam, won first prize at the 6th National Award for Foreign Information.
He is also the first Latin American invited by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to discuss his doctoral thesis research topic on the reconstruction of the Vietnamese people after the war.
