In fact, Korean has now been included as a foreign language in many high schools, and the demand for Korean language teachers is high. Therefore, after graduation, students can teach in Ho Chi Minh City or return to their hometown to work.

"The income of new graduates will depend on their abilities. For those who study Korean language, if they are really good, they can be paid 20 million VND/month. The average income is from 10-15 million VND, this is the most basic level for new graduates. In addition, they can be paid additional bonuses, depending on their position and ability. There is a student in his 4th year who has been accepted for a paid internship at a large Korean insurance corporation," Dr. Hien added.

AI cannot replace humans in literary translation

Responding to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters, Dr. Le Thi Gam, Deputy Head of the Department of Applied Literature, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Van Lang University, said that studying applied literature is not only about writing, composing, and translating, but also has diverse career prospects such as: organizer of cultural and artistic events; if you want to pursue teaching, you will study subjects on teaching methods, introduction to the teaching profession, and at the same time complete pedagogical certificates...

According to Dr. Gam, AI can support simple translation, but to translate well and emotionally, the translator must have a deep understanding to choose the appropriate language of expression. Therefore, the role of the translator is still irreplaceable. AI cannot replace the translator.

"When translating literary works, it is not just a matter of simple translation but also requires the translator to have a deep understanding of the cultural story as well as the writer's language," said Dr. Gam.
