Writer Shin Kyung-Sook is a familiar name to Vietnamese readers. Since her first work, Please Look After Mom , has brought tears to many readers. Released in Vietnam more than ten years ago, this work is still considered one of the most enduring Korean novels. The book is an important milestone, opening the way for Korean literature to get closer to Vietnamese readers.

After Please Take Care of Mom , many works by writer Shin Kyung-Sook were introduced in Vietnam such as: Somewhere there is a phone calling me , The girl who writes loneliness , Stories to tell the moon , Please take care of dad . And most recently, Minute of separation (Nha Nam and Hanoi Publishing House).
Sharing about this new work, author Shin Kyung-Sook said: “When we think about goodbyes, we often feel sad because we never know how to say goodbye completely. I want the characters and readers to have a moment of silence to close the separations in their hearts.”

Minutes of Separation is written in the form of three letters, three stories in the flow of history, where people with the wounds of loss try to write down the things they have not had time to say to the person who has left. The work is for those who are learning to stand firm in the gaps of life. Without urging readers to forget the pain, Shin Kyung-Sook gently leads them to acceptance, and each separation becomes an opportunity for people to find themselves again.

The exchange and conversation program with writer Shin Kyung-Sook will take place at 10:00 a.m. on October 18 at Nha Nam Book Store (4th floor, Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi, 272 Vo Chi Cong Street, Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi).
With the aim of bringing international authors closer to Vietnamese readers, in March this year, Nha Nam invited writer Cho Chang-In to Vietnam to interact with readers. Writer Cho Chang-In is the author of many famous novels such as: Father and the Stickleback , Happy Collective Area , The Lighthouse Keeper . In which, the novel The Lighthouse Keeper was written during the time writer Cho Chang-In stayed in Mui Ne.
