The Hanoi People's Council passed a Resolution on tuition fees for high-quality public high schools and educational institutions affiliated with universities in the area.
Accordingly, Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da has the highest tuition fee of 6.1 million VND/month. The lowest is 3 million VND/month, applied to non-English-enhanced classes of Le Loi High School. Most other high-quality schools charge over 3.3 million VND/month.
For universities, tuition fees range from 2.37 to 4 million VND/month. In this group, Talented Secondary School - Hanoi National University of Education has the highest tuition fee.
The resolution also stipulates that tuition fees for online learning are 75% of those for face-to-face learning, rounded to the nearest thousand dong. These fees apply in the 2025-2026 school year.
Previously, the Hanoi People's Council approved the tuition support level for the 2025-2026 school year. According to regulations, preschool children and students of high-quality public schools will receive the following support levels:
Nursery, kindergarten (except 5-year-old children) and high school students: 217,000 VND/month
5-year-old preschool children, primary and secondary school students: 155,000 VND/month.
If studying online, the support level is 75% of the above level, equivalent to about 116,000-163,000 VND/month depending on the level of study. The total maximum tuition support period is not more than 9 months in one school year.
