Leaders of the People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ho District also enthusiastically participated in the math game with students.

The festival is a series of open activities on mathematics and STEM to create opportunities for a large number of students, teachers, parents, mathematicians andeducators to discuss current topics in mathematics and mathematics teaching; experience and enjoy the beauty of mathematics and learn about the colorful applications of mathematics in science and life.

International students also participated in the festival to experience mathematics and interact with Vietnamese students.

There are professional activities for math teachers at all levels and many interesting experiential activities for students to create a passion for math. In the opinion of many people, math is a challenging subject, difficult to overcome because of its dryness and difficulty in accessing. However, in reality, math is very attractive, close and has applications in many fields.

Coming to the festival, nearly 2,000 students participated in math games through interesting and familiar experiential activities.

Mathematics is also dramatized with attractive skits, played and led by the students themselves.

Not only that, mathematics is also dramatized with attractive skits. Each skit is performed by students from the schools, taking them to visit the lives and learn about the great contributions of outstanding mathematicians in Vietnam as well as in the world ...

Mr. Dang Viet Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ho District, said: "Activities promoting mathematics in general, including the Open Mathematics Festival, will help students better understand mathematics and its practical applications in many fields; contributing to promoting the study and research of mathematics in high schools."

By participating in the festival, students feel that mathematics is close, not just competitions and exams.

According to Mr. Ha, for a long time, talking about mathematics means talking about exams and types of exam questions, which often makes students afraid of mathematics, seeing mathematics as not close or necessary for life, other than the purpose of studying to take exams and get high scores... The activities of the Open Mathematics Festival will help students feel and "touch" mathematics through games to see that mathematics is not strange or scary.

"With that meaning, the organizers hope that the Open Math Festival will be an annual event held in Tay Ho District to promote mathematics, helping students and the community have a new perspective on mathematics," Mr. Dang Viet Ha shared.
