Study and practice according to Uncle Ho's 5 teachings

During his lifetime, Uncle Ho taught the youth and children: “Love the Fatherland, love the people. Study well, work well. Be united, disciplined. Maintain good hygiene. Be modest, honest, and brave.” Following the five teachings of Uncle Ho, the youth and children of Vinh Phuc strive to compete, practice, and strive to become good children, good students, good team members, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho.

The movement "Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" is the content that Huong Canh A Primary School - a typical unit in the Team activities of theEducation sector of Binh Xuyen district - has implemented throughout, integrating into subjects, collective activities, and extracurricular activities.

The school's Youth Union launched the youth project "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers" by hanging an administrative map of Vietnam in the school's collective activity space and classrooms.

Responding to the "Healthy Children" festival, the Union organized extracurricular activities with the theme " Dien Bien Phu Victory - Vietnam's strength, the stature of the era" with the participation of more than 1,000 students.

At the program, the children participated in collage and bilingual presentations in Vietnamese and English about 2 paintings: Hero Phan Dinh Giot and Dien Bien Phu Victory; participated in the "Pride of Vietnamese Children" dance performance and many fun and experiential activities such as tug of war, bamboo dancing...

Along with that, the Union launched the QR code for the contest "I am a young historian" and the QR code "School tradition"; built the model "Interactive library with Team living space", received 1,500 books, stories, newspapers, and magazines.

Every year, the Union launches the program "Small Plan - Big Meaning" to students, collecting recyclable waste such as beer cans, soft drink cans, plastic bottles, scrap paper, old books... to build the Union fund, build youth projects; organize programs to donate, support, and share with students with difficult circumstances in studying...

In particular, through the "Thousand Good Deeds" movement, many examples of meaningful actions have appeared, typically Tran Duc Vinh, class 5A2, who found a silver necklace and handed it over to his homeroom teacher to return it to the owner.

Teacher Ly Minh Phuong, Head of the Team of Huong Canh A Primary School, said: "Implementing the movement "Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings", the school's Team has proactively researched, innovated, and diversified the forms of organizing activities suitable for their age to create conditions and environments for children to have the opportunity to develop their strengths, improve their skills in Team activities and social activities; at the same time, commend good people and good deeds on the school's fanpage and at the flag-raising ceremonies at the beginning of the week... to encourage their spirit, create motivation, and create an environment for children to practice and strive to become good children, good students, good team members, and good children of Uncle Ho".

Over the years, the Provincial Youth Union has concretized the movement "Vinh Phuc Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" with many suitable and meaningful contents. Implementing Uncle Ho's teachings "Love the Fatherland, love the people", the Youth Unions have implemented the activities "When drinking water, remember the source", "Repaying gratitude", "Journey to red addresses", "Reading and following the Youth Union Newspaper", "Young people do small things"; organized visits, encouragement, help, and gifts for families with revolutionary contributions, lonely elderly people without support, and cared for Heroic Vietnamese Mothers; bought toothpicks and pens to support the blind and disabled, etc.

Responding to the 7 peak weeks celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Unions launched a painting contest with the theme "I love Vietnam's sea and islands" associated with the campaign "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers".

At the "Step Up to the Youth Union" festival, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Provincial Youth Union Council and Yen Lac district presented 5 bicycles and 10 gifts, 14 maps of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the "Young Bamboo Garden" project to students of Dai Tu Secondary School...

To concretize the content of "Study well, work well", the Unions have launched emulation through the movements "Good flower marks", "Clean notebooks, beautiful writing" with thousands of good flower marks given to mothers and teachers. 100% of the Unions organize training of awareness and manners for children through strictly implementing school discipline, promoting the role of self-study, training and self-cultivation of each member and child.

Implementing the content of "Good solidarity, good discipline", the Provincial Youth Union at all levels launched the emulation movement "Building friendly schools, active students"; propagating and popularizing the Road Traffic Law; maintaining the model of School Gate with traffic safety and order. The Provincial Youth Union bases maintained poetry and literature writing clubs for school-age children, "Young Propaganda Team", "Want to Say Mailbox"...

The movement "Vinh Phuc children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" has really spread, creating a healthy environment, a useful playground for teenagers and children in the whole province to study, experience, practice and participate in social activities, become good children, good students, good team members, good grandchildren of Uncle Ho; contributing to improving the quality of activities, building the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team increasingly strong.
