During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh taught the youth and children: “Love the Fatherland, love your compatriots. Study well, work well. Be united, be disciplined. Maintain good hygiene. Be humble, honest, and courageous.” Following these five teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, the youth and children of Vinh Phuc are striving to compete, train, and excel, worthy of becoming good children, good students, good Young Pioneers, and good grandchildren of President Ho Chi Minh.
The movement "Children compete to follow the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho" is a content that Huong Canh A Primary School - a model unit in the Youth Union activities of the Education sector of Binh Xuyen district - has consistently implemented, integrating it into subjects, collective activities, and extracurricular activities.

In addition, the Youth Union launched QR codes for the "I am a Young Historian" competition and the "School Traditions" QR code; built an "Interactive Library with Youth Union Activity Space" model, and received 1,500 books, stories, newspapers, and magazines.
Every year, the Youth Union launches the "Small Plan - Big Meaning" program for students, encouraging them to collect recyclable materials such as beer cans, soda cans, plastic bottles, scrap paper, old books, etc., to build the Youth Union fund and construct youth projects; and to organize fundraising and support programs for students facing difficulties in their studies.
In particular, through the "Thousand Good Deeds" movement, many exemplary individuals have emerged with meaningful actions, such as Tran Duc Vinh, a student in class 5A2, who found a silver necklace and handed it over to his homeroom teacher to return it to the owner.
Ms. Ly Minh Phuong, Head of the Youth Union at Huong Canh A Primary School, said: "Implementing the movement 'Children compete to follow the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho,' the school's Youth Union proactively researches, innovates, and diversifies the forms of organizing activities suitable for their age group to create conditions and an environment for children to have the opportunity to develop their strengths, improve their skills in Youth Union activities and social activities; at the same time, we commend good examples and good deeds on the school's fanpage and at the weekly flag-raising ceremonies... to encourage spirit, create motivation, and create an environment for children to train and strive to become good children, good students, good Youth Union members, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho."
