The event aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Dai Loc homeland (March 28, 1975 - March 28, 2025).
At the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Military Region 5 Branch (Da Nang City), female officials and members of the Women's Union of Dai Loc district respectfully offered incense to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap.
The delegation also visited the Museum of Military Region 5, the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Military Region 5 Branch, and a model of President Ho Chi Minh's stilt house. Museum staff shared stories about President Ho Chi Minh's life and journey in his quest to save the country; they also introduced the traditions of the Military Region 5 forces in the struggle against French colonialism and American imperialism.
Through this journey back to our roots, we are further inspired by the glorious traditions of our nation, by the quintessential values, cultural identity, and fine traditions built, protected, and passed down through generations by our ancestors.
* The Women's Union of Dai Hong commune (Dai Loc district) also recently organized a trip to historical sites, visiting the Nuoc Oa historical site (Bac Tra My district) - a revolutionary base in Zone 5.
The delegation also visited the 5th Military Region Command historical site – the secret workplace of the generals and key leaders of the 5th Military Region Party Committee and the 5th Military Region Command during the resistance war against the US for national liberation (1960-1975).
On this occasion, the delegation offered incense at the Monument to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother in Tam Ky City; and visited the Museum of the Heroic Vietnamese Mother - which displays nearly 300 artifacts out of almost 1,000 artifacts collected from exemplary Heroic Vietnamese Mothers representing more than 127,000 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers nationwide.
