Sharing at the program, Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union Ngo Thi Hong Hao affirmed that this is a meaningful and practical work showing the hearts of the unions at all levels and accompanying units, and benefactors sent to orphaned children with special difficulties, in order to share difficulties with the children, create a joyful atmosphere and motivation to enter the new school year, and have more conditions to rise up in life.

Over the years, the Women's Union at all levels across the country have always joined hands to care for women and children, especially those in difficult circumstances, through thousands of practical projects and tasks: supporting women to escape poverty, building shelters, promoting the use of clean water, awarding scholarships, helping people go to school, providing relief to people in disaster areas, supporting livelihoods, and taking care of community health.

Responding to the "Godmother" Program to care for and nurture orphans launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union since 2021, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union has actively mobilized and connected philanthropists and business units to accompany the Association to care for and sponsor orphans with special difficulties, thereby sponsoring more than 2,300 orphans with a total support budget of over 8.5 billion VND per year.

On this occasion, the sponsors donated 136 bicycles to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union to give to disadvantaged orphans throughout the province - a practical gift to support them on their way to school. The Provincial Women's Union and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Entrepreneurs Association also presented 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to disadvantaged members affected by storm No. 5 in Tinh Gia ward and Yen Truong, Quy Loc, Yen Ninh and Yen Phu communes.
Nga Thang Commune Women's Union presented 8 gifts to disadvantaged orphans with a total value of 38 million VND.
Quang Ninh Women's Union presented 32 gifts to disadvantaged orphans with a total value of 16 million VND.
Continuing the spirit of joining hands to care for women and children, in recent days, the Women's Union at the commune and ward levels in Thanh Hoa province has proactively connected with benefactors and sponsors to give gifts to orphans and children in difficult circumstances. Although the gifts are not too large in material terms, they contain the love of the "Godmothers", encouraging students to overcome challenges and nurture their dreams to become green shoots of their homeland and the future of the country.
