The 4th Conference of Advanced Models of Culture, Sports and Tourism Sector of Lai Chau Province

At the conference, delegates listened to a report summarizing the patriotic emulation movement and commendation work for the period 2020-2025; directions and tasks of emulation work for the period 2025-2030. Accordingly, in the period 2020-2025, the Department directed its departments and affiliated units to actively participate in emulation movements launched by the Central Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Lai Chau province, such as: "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh ", "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas for the period 2021-2025", "Lai Chau promotes the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; "Practice thrift, fight waste", "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to practice office culture", "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025".

Along with that, the Department focuses on implementing the planning work for the development of the cultural, sports and tourism network; promoting administrative reform, applying information technology and digital transformation; strengthening inspection, examination and supervision. Paying attention to innovation and improving the quality of commendation work at agencies and units to ensure the principles of commendation: "accurate, public, fair and timely".

As a result, during the period, the Department of Heritage Conservation collected 4,655 artifacts, 6 intangible cultural heritages ranked nationally. Organized 7 training courses on basic information skills. Digitized 3 community tourism spots (Sin Suoi Ho, Si Thau Chai, Vang Pheo) using 3D technology, promoting modern tourism . In the period of 2020 - 2024, the whole province welcomed 3,877,000 visitors; the average growth rate reached 30.3%/year, total revenue reached 3,200 billion VND. Up to now, the whole province has 975 mass art teams, 86.1% of households have achieved cultural titles, 100% of villages have implemented village covenants and conventions; over 149,000 people practice sports regularly; 20 provincial-level tourist spots, 1 spot won the ASEAN award...

Comrade Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented a summary report on the results of the patriotic emulation movement and reward work in the period of 2020-2025; directions and tasks of emulation and reward work in the period of 2025-2030.

In the period of 2025-2030, the Department will continue to innovate, improve the quality of emulation work and effectively implement emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and branches and units. Set out 10 specific goals, 8 groups of tasks and key solutions for implementation. Strive for over 98% of civil servants, public employees and workers to achieve the title of advanced workers every year; 88% of villages, hamlets and residential areas have cultural houses; 86% of households, 78% of villages, hamlets and neighborhoods and 98% of agencies, units and enterprises to meet cultural standards; the average growth rate of tourist arrivals will reach 10% per year; by 2030, the whole province will welcome over 2.4 million visitors; total revenue from tourism will reach over 2,750 billion VND.

At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025. Launching the emulation movement for the period 2025-2030 with the theme: "Lai Chau Culture, Sports and Tourism Sector: Solidarity, Creativity, Breakthrough, for Sustainable Development".
