The event attracted more than 2,000 delegates, including representatives of the Ministry of Health , Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Health Departments, universities, hospitals inside and outside the province, along with many experts, doctors, nurses and scientists.
This is the largest scientific event of Nghe An's health sector in 2025, an important forum for sharing knowledge, updating new technologies and expanding professional cooperation.
The conference focused on two main topics: “Digital transformation - Application of artificial intelligence in hospital administration, medical examination and treatment management” and “Update new advances in medicine in medical examination and treatment.”
At the general session, many quality reports from large hospitals and universities such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Hung Vuong Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology... opened up a new perspective on integrating artificial intelligence in hospital operations, electronic medical record management, improving operational efficiency and patient experience.
In the thematic section, central experts introduced new generation imaging diagnostic techniques, personalized treatment regimens and comprehensive care models to meet the challenges of complex diseases and increasing healthcare needs. Digital transformation and AI application were identified as strategic requirements to optimize operational efficiency, improve treatment quality and put patients at the center. Speaking at the conference, Dr. Le Thi Hoai Chung, Director of Nghe An Department of Health, said that in recent years, Nghe An's health sector has implemented many synchronous solutions to improve the quality of health care for the people. Many advanced medical techniques have been successfully applied such as organ transplantation (kidney, liver), open heart surgery, cardiovascular intervention, assisted reproduction and application of molecular biotechnology in early diagnosis of genetic diseases and cancer. Preventive medicine and food safety have been focused on, major epidemics have been effectively controlled. Nghe An is also the leading locality in the country in terms of autonomy, socialization of health care, administrative reform and application of information technology in medical examination and treatment.
In that common achievement, Vinh City General Hospital has made an important contribution. Six decades of development is a journey to overcome many difficulties to affirm its leading position in the province, always in the high group in terms of patient satisfaction index nationwide and is one of five facilities honored by the Ministry of Health as a model in national digital transformation in 2023. The staff is well-trained, implementing many advanced and specialized techniques in the fields of internal medicine, surgery, and paraclinical medicine, becoming the pride of Nghe An's health sector.
The Director of Nghe An Department of Health affirmed: “Digital transformation and artificial intelligence are no longer options but are inevitable requirements, key strategies to build a modern, smart, patient-centered healthcare system. This is also a step to concretize the goal of the Nghe An Smart Healthcare Development Project to 2030, focusing on three pillars: Smart governance - Smart prevention - Smart medical examination and treatment”.
