After the establishment of the Department of Science and Technology of Cao Bang province on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology of Cao Bang province, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Department of Science and Technology has been strengthened. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Youth Union has made many efforts and creativity in implementing the Youth Union's work program and youth movement. Propaganda, political and ideological education work has always been focused on promoting implementation in conjunction with activities to educate traditions on the occasion of major holidays of the industry, the country and the province; the work of building the Youth Union organization, the Youth Union's participation in Party building, government and mass organizations has been maintained and implemented well. Youth Union members actively responded to the contest "Learn about the topic of studying and following Uncle Ho in 2025", fully attended the thematic conferences organized by the higher-level Youth Union. One member received the Certificate of Merit "Outstanding Young Citizen in 2024" and the Encouragement Prize in the Writing Contest on "Good People, Good Deeds" of the province.
The youth volunteer movement has been implemented enthusiastically and practically such as: participating in Tet tree planting, Earth Hour, "Green Sunday", environmental sanitation at the agency, voluntary blood donation. The Department of Science and Technology's Youth Union has coordinated with other youth unions to organize the program "No one is left behind" to give gifts to 03 disabled people in especially difficult circumstances in Hanh Phuc commune, the total value of the gifts is over 30 million VND; organize summer volunteer activities in 2025 at Lung Ga school, give 20 boxes of bottled water and organize free meals for 89 students - this is a meaningful activity towards celebrating Vietnam Science and Technology Day on May 18. For the "Creative Youth" movement, it is always deployed, associated with professional tasks: 100% of the Youth Union members complete their work well, effectively apply information technology in management and operation; The Youth Union has 01 member participating in the provincial-level scientific project on building and developing the An Lai vermicelli certification brand.
In the last 6 months of 2025, the Youth Union will continue to implement the 2025 work program; Carry out tasks related to the activities and movements of the Youth Union under the direction of the Party Committee of the Department of Science and Technology and the superior Youth Union and organization. In which, the focus is on organizing activities for the digital transformation day on October 10.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nong Thanh Than, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Science and Technology, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, acknowledged the results achieved by the Youth Union in the past time. Although the Youth Union still faces many difficulties due to the small number of members and many professional tasks, it has always strived to complete the Youth Union's movements well. He hopes that in the coming time, the Youth Union will continue to unite, combine professional tasks with Youth Union activities, especially implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, the Youth Union will coordinate with the Center for Digital Technology and Communications to deploy practical activities towards the grassroots such as: training on information technology, applying digital transformation in some communes in the province.
At the conference, the Youth Union introduced 01 outstanding Youth Union member for the Party to consider and admit. At the same time, the thematic activity "Youth in Science and Technology with digital transformation in state agencies" was integrated.
