On September 9, 2025, the Department of Health held a Conference to deploy some key contents in the field of disease prevention for the Heads of Health Stations/In charge of managing and operating Health Stations and officials assigned to carry out the Health Station's Planning work. Attending were leaders of functional departments of the Department of Health; Representatives of leaders and officials related to the Center for Disease Control, Comrade Nong Tuan Phong - Director of the Department of Health chaired the Conference.

In order to thoroughly grasp, unify and implement the contents on the field of disease prevention to ensure synchronization with the organization of the 2-level local government model and the tasks and roles of the Head of the Commune and Ward Health Stations in the field of disease prevention. The Department of Health assigned the Center for Disease Control to deploy some specialized contents on the field of disease prevention for officials who are Heads of Health Stations/In charge of managing and operating Health Stations in the province.

The conference deployed the following contents: the role and responsibility of the Health Station in advising and directing the implementation of: prevention and control of infectious diseases; prevention and control of non-communicable diseases; community health care; Circulars and documents regulating the prevention and control of infectious diseases, the role of commune and ward health stations in the prevention and control of infectious diseases; Methadone management at alternative treatment facilities, facilities providing alternative treatment drugs at commune and ward health stations; draft plans for planning, preserving, distributing and transporting vaccines in expanded immunization in the province.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nong Tuan Phong - Director of the Department of Health emphasized the tasks and roles of the Head of the Commune and Ward Health Station, especially the capacity of the Health Station management staff that needs to be achieved, including the following basic capacities: Planning; managing health activities/programs; managing human resources, managing finances; managing facilities and equipment; operating and organizing activities; transmitting information/communication; mobilizing community participation; office informatics. Directing the Center for Disease Control, Health Centers and hospitals to develop plans to send human resources to support Commune and Ward Health Stations in medical examination and treatment, Methadone treatment management and preventive medicine.
