Opening of the Literature and Art Creation Camp in Vo Lao Commune

On the afternoon of September 11, in Vo Lao commune, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association in coordination with the local government organized the opening of the Literature and Arts Creation Camp. This is the first commune-level creation camp to be implemented in the form of coordination between the Association and the grassroots, after the organizational system was arranged according to the two-level local government model.

The Creative Camp has 15 members from the following majors: Literature, Music , Photography and Fine Arts.

During 6 days (September 11-16), artists will go on field trips to learn about the cultural life, history, natural landscapes and development achievements of the locality to use as material for their creations.

Vo Lao commune was formed on the basis of merging three communes Nam Dang, Nam Ma and old Vo Lao. On an area of ​​over 15 thousand hectares, nearly 18,000 people of 5 ethnic groups Tay, Kinh, Dao, Xa Pho and H'Mong gather together, creating a community rich in identity. Vo Lao is likened to a multi-colored picture, where majestic mountains embrace peaceful fields, and is also a land that still holds much potential for tourism development associated with preserving traditional culture.

The Organizing Committee hopes that the Creative Camp will help members accumulate more materials, inspire creativity to create many works of ideological and artistic value, contributing to motivating and encouraging the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in Vo Lao commune. At the same time, the works from the Camp will also become a bridge to promote the image of nature, culture and people of Vo Lao to the public inside and outside the province, thereby promoting literary and artistic activities, spreading the attractiveness of this land rich in identity.
