Competition to learn about Waste Classification at Source

Responding to World Environment Day 2023 with the theme "Solutions to Plastic Pollution", focusing on implementing the campaign "Beat Plastic Pollution".

On the morning of June 5, 2023, Thoi Binh District Youth Union coordinated with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ca Mau province to organize the contest "Learning about waste classification at source". Participating in the contest were 04 teams: CHANGE Team (Tan Bang Secondary and High School Youth Union), Green Message Team (Bien Bach Commune Youth Union), Green Team (Bien Bach Dong Commune Youth Union) and Green Tan Bang Team (Tan Bang Commune Youth Union) respectively going through 03 rounds: Creativity, Who is faster and Courage.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize to the CHANGE Team (Tan Bang Secondary and High School Youth Union), 1 second prize to the Green Message Team (Bien Bach Commune Youth Union), 1 third prize to the Green Team (Bien Bach Dong Commune Youth Union), 1 consolation prize to the Green Tan Bang Team (Tan Bang Commune Youth Union) and 1 impressive contestant prize to Tran Nguyen Khanh Vy, class 11C1, Tan Bang Secondary and High School.

Through the contest, the message and awareness of environmental protection, using waste as a resource and available energy source, how to classify solid waste, limit negative impacts on health and the surrounding environment, on the other hand, creating conditions for union members and youth to promote the spirit of volunteering in environmental protection, contributing to building Thoi Binh district to meet the standards of a new rural district.
