Conference on the third quarter of 2025 and deployment of directions and tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025

On the afternoon of September 24, the Department of Agriculture and Environment held a meeting for the third quarter of 2025 and deployed directions and tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025. Attending and directing the conference were Mr. To Hoai Phuong, Director of the Department; Deputy Directors of the Department along with Heads of specialized and professional departments; Heads of units under the Department.

Mr. Ho Minh Phu , Head of Planning and Finance Department, on behalf of the Department, summarized the implementation of tasks in September, the third quarter and the first 9 months of the year; key tasks and solutions for the last 3 months of 2025 of the Department of Agriculture and Environment. Accordingly, the Department has achieved outstanding results such as:

Regarding fisheries: Total accumulated aquatic output in the first 9 months is estimated at 907,186 tons, equal to 71.5% of the growth plan, up 5.9% over the same period. In the first 9 months of the year, the total number of registered fishing vessels was 5,253; 100% of fishing vessels have installed VMS; 227/LK 2,053 technical safety certificates have been issued . Regarding forestry: Since the beginning of the year, there has been 01 forest fire in Sub-area 064, Khanh Binh Tay Bac commune, Tran Van Thoi district due to burning of post-exploitation vegetation, with a damaged area of ​​0.66 hectares of production forest. Regarding resource management: continue the task of cleaning land data to serve Project 06; deploy the campaign to enrich and clean the national land database; classify land plot groups according to the provisions of Plan No. 515/KH-BCA-BNN&MT. Regarding water and mineral resources: Managing, operating and exploiting 144 centralized rural water supply works, up to now, the total water consumption output is 13,989,773 m3, revenue is 71,300 million VND. Total number of customers (signed contracts) 119,414 households...

In addition to the positive aspects, the Department of Agriculture and Environment also has some limitations and difficulties such as: complicated weather, affecting rice and shrimp productivity, slow progress of summer-autumn rice harvest, reducing output and quality. Due to the impact of the temporary suspension of rice imports from the Philippines, domestic commercial rice prices have decreased, while fertilizer prices remain high, potentially reducing farmers' profits. The situation of fishing vessels installing journey monitoring devices losing connection frequently occurs, causing difficulties in management and preventing fishing vessels from violating foreign waters. The situation of pig and aquatic breeds of unknown origin still exists in the province, posing a potential risk of outbreaks, especially African swine fever. The progress of new rural construction is slow; the quality of standard communes in some localities is unsustainable...

At the Conference, delegates discussed, gave comments , and raised difficulties and problems in the process of performing tasks at the unit so that the Department's Board of Directors could promptly remove and resolve them .

After the Deputy Directors gave their opinions on their respective fields, Mr. To Hoai Phuong had some concluding comments as follows: In general, in the past 9 months , the Department of Agriculture and Environment has achieved positive and quite comprehensive results. Especially in the direction and operation of the Department's leaders, timely, advising on the correct implementation of regulations, implementing smoothly and appropriately to the actual situation of the Department, promptly responding to the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, he directed the Deputy Directors of the Department to promptly remove difficulties of the units under management. Specialized and professional departments and units under the Department continue to implement key tasks and solutions in the last 3 months of 2025 , especially focusing on consulting work and drafting legal documents within the prescribed time.

At the conference, the Department of Agriculture and Environment also launched a movement to support the Cuban people. This is an activity demonstrating the spirit of international solidarity.
