According to the direction, the Department of Sea, Islands and Fisheries Control together with the Department of Fisheries must regularly monitor and update weather developments, call on fishing vessels to quickly move to safe shelters, maintain communication and resolutely evacuate fishermen on boats, cages, and aquaculture watchtowers to shore. The units are responsible for updating and reporting the number of vessels in operation, the reception capacity at the anchorage areas, and at the same time advise on sea bans when necessary.
In addition, the Department requires fishermen to be instructed to harvest early or reinforce aquaculture cages to minimize damage. Response reports must be made daily at 7:00 and 15:00, sent to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of the Fisheries Sector and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Ca Mau Province.
Strictly implementing the above directive is extremely important, contributing to protecting the safety of fishermen's lives, minimizing damage to aquatic production activities, and ensuring proactive and timely work in preventing and combating natural disasters. Thereby, strengthening people's trust in the government's direction, creating a solid foundation for production development and stabilizing life after the storm.
