More than 100 reporters and journalists participate in the mountain climbing competition to conquer Ta Xua peak

The 2nd Stepping on the Clouds Mountain Climbing Tournament officially kicked off from April 11-13, 2025 with the participation of more than 100 athletes who are journalists and reporters from news agencies across the country.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Ha, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper, said that following the success of the first season, in 2025, Vietnam Law Newspaper will continue to coordinate with the People's Committee of Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province and Hung Viet Trading and Tourism Company Limited to organize the second "Steps on the Clouds" mountain climbing competition - Conquering Ta Xua peak, Tram Tau district in 2025 from April 11 to 13, 2025.

This is a climbing competition for the press, gathering hundreds of journalists and reporters from press agencies across the country, from central to local levels. The “Steps in the Clouds” climbing competition is also a place to strengthen the solidarity, dedication and creativity of journalists and reporters with many valuable press works about the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

Participating in this tournament, athletes will have to overcome a distance of about 12 km of mountainous road. The starting point is at the foot of the mountain (in Ban Cong commune, Tram Tau district) and the destination is Ta Xua peak, at an altitude of 2,865m above sea level, this is one of the highest peaks in Vietnam. Ta Xua mountain is located in the south of Hoang Lien Son range, bordering Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province and Bac Yen district, Son La province.

On the journey to conquer Ta Xua mountain peak, athletes will experience the feeling of sublimation when conquering steep paths, crossing the ancient rhododendron forest covered with moss.

The Organizing Committee's working group went ahead to arrange guidance points and stretch ropes to ensure safety for the climbing group.

One of the highlights of the journey is the "Dragon's Back" - a long, narrow mountain range, hidden in the sea of ​​clouds like a giant dragon's back. This will be a challenging route, requiring athletes to have courage and solid climbing skills.

However, when passing this stretch of road, athletes will enjoy an extremely impressive scene with white clouds floating, covering the valleys below, creating a magical and majestic natural picture.

In preparation for the season, preparations such as transportation, accommodation, security, and safety for athletes have been carefully prepared and completed by the Organizing Committee.

Before that, the Organizing Committee also sent a working group to go ahead, arrange guidance points, and stretch ropes to ensure safety for the climbing team.

Mr. Khang A Chua, Vice Chairman of Tram Tau District People's Committee, said that not only participating in the competition, the athletes will also be immersed in the atmosphere of the Tram Tau District Ethnic Culture Festival. In particular, the Organizing Committee will deploy "0 VND" booths with thousands of products such as: clothes, warm blankets and some essential consumer goods for people coming to the festival to experience and shop for goods at "0 VND". This is a practical and meaningful activity, promising to become one of the highlights of the program.
