More than 177 billion VND late payment of social insurance

According to statistics from the provincial Social Insurance agency, as of the end of April 2025, the total amount of late payment of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the province was 177,087 billion VND, accounting for 5.74% of the collection plan for the year, the total amount of late payment with interest was 116,889 billion VND, equivalent to 3.79%.

Notably, of the total outstanding debt, employers accounted for VND130.4 billion, with 2,252 units late in paying insurance. In particular, 536 units were late for 3 months or more, with a total amount of up to VND95.5 billion.

“These figures not only show the debt collection pressure of the social insurance sector but also serve as a warning bell that the rights of workers are being seriously affected. The provincial social insurance sector is working hard to coordinate with relevant agencies to step up inspections and examinations, requiring units to fulfill their obligations to pay fully and on time to ensure the legitimate rights of workers…”, Director of the provincial social insurance sector Tran Anh Tuan emphasized.
