Create an environment for children to develop

At Cam Ranh Base Primary School (Cam Ranh City), the Truong Sa island landmark model is solemnly placed in the school yard. During recess, students and team members play and frolic around the landmark area. Some students even happily boast that "My father is working on Truong Sa island". Ms. Ho Thi Hanh - Head of the Team of Cam Ranh Base Primary School said that the Truong Sa landmark model was just implemented and inaugurated by the team in April. This is a meaningful model launched by the Provincial Team Council with the name "Truong Sa in my heart". Through the model, it has helped to increase the effectiveness ofeducation work, arouse love for the homeland, country, and the spirit of solidarity towards the sea and islands for team members and students.

“Truong Sa in my heart” is one of the new models deployed by the Provincial Youth Union in recent times. Since the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, 6 more Truong Sa milestone models have been implemented in schools in the province. Ms. Huynh Thi Nhu Y - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Provincial Youth Union said that recently, the team organization has also had new activity models such as: National Anthem Singing Contest at red addresses, the project “Rows of square banyan trees”... in an effort to innovate and be creative in the form of educating revolutionary traditions, patriotism and national pride for the young generation.

Along with that, the Youth Union at all levels has created many playgrounds and models to contribute to educating children to develop their personality, physical strength, and intelligence; focusing on educating life skills, nurturing ideals, and moral qualities for Youth Union members. In the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 241 Youth Unions organizing activities for children to visit red addresses with 24,269 Youth Union members; 237 Youth Unions organizing thematic activities "A beautiful story, a good book, a shining example every week" with 127,890 children participating; 146 Youth Unions organizing activities on building beautiful friendships, preventing and combating school violence with more than 92,000 Youth Union members...

At the provincial level, the Provincial Youth Union has also coordinated with departments, branches and social organizations to deploy many playgrounds for children such as: English competition "V-Champions - Golden Bell" for primary and secondary school children; the first "Baby Painting" contest in Khanh Hoa province in 2024... Along with that, the system of children's houses in the whole province has performed well its tasks and roles in children's work. Most notably, in mid-2024, Khanh Son District Children's House was inaugurated and put into use, completing the task of ensuring that districts, towns and cities in the province have children's houses. Next June, the Provincial Children's Cultural Palace is expected to come into operation with 8 functional areas, which will actively contribute to creating an environment for children to play and practice skills.

Caring for children in difficult circumstances

One of the hallmarks of the Young Pioneers organization in recent times is that the work of caring for children in difficult circumstances has been implemented promptly and effectively. The Provincial Young Pioneers Council and districts, towns and cities have issued guidelines and mobilized team members, children and youngsters to actively participate in the "Small Plan" movement, thereby having funds to effectively implement projects and tasks for young people. From that funding source, school teams and district, town and city-level Young Pioneers Councils have called for socialized resources from benefactors and businesses to implement meaningful activities to support team members and children in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Huynh Thi Nhu Y said that in the 2023 - 2024 school year, the Provincial Youth Union mobilized support for 8,566 children, with a total budget of more than 1.9 billion VND through the forms of scholarships, gifts, support for learning tools, bicycles, savings books... From the beginning of the 2024 - 2025 school year to now, an additional 4,720 children have been supported, with a total value of more than 610 million VND from socialized sources and local mobilization. Outstanding programs such as "Love Market", "Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese children" scholarship awarding, "Journey of a million glasses of milk"... organized in many localities have become highlights in volunteer activities.

Continue to build a strong team

According to the leaders of the Provincial Youth Union Council, up to now, the activities of the Youth Union and the children's movement have continued to be maintained, maintaining and promoting the strengths and traditional movements. To achieve these results, the work of building a strong team has been focused on and given due attention; the work of training the team leaders and teachers in charge of the team has been given regular attention. Training courses are held regularly with practical contents such as: Team organization skills, team etiquette, folk games, accident and injury prevention, group leadership skills and application of technology in team activities... Thereby, helping the team leaders to enhance their leadership role, confidently manage inter-team activities effectively.

For the team of teachers working in the team, the Provincial Team Council regularly coordinates with the Department of Education and Training to organize professional training, exchange experiences, and organize competitions for excellent teachers in charge of the team. Since then, the team of teachers in charge of the team has become increasingly professional, dedicated, and has promoted its core role in educating children at schools. In addition, the Provincial Team Council has also promoted the role of the Provincial Team Training Council, consisting of 25 members who are full-time staff of the team council, children's houses, and teachers working as team leaders in the province with a lot of experience in team work. Since then, it has organized well training activities, fostering expertise and skills for staff in charge of children throughout the province...

Ms. Huynh Thi Nhu Y said that in the coming time, with the spirit of innovation, creativity and high determination, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to promote tradition, affirming its role as an ideal educational and training environment for the young generation, helping them become useful citizens, contributing to the development of their homeland.
