On April 7, in the central area of Dien Bien Phu City, more than 2,200 students in Dien Bien province simultaneously performed folk dances and street dances.

The activities took place simultaneously at 4 locations: 7/5 Square, Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument Ceremony Ground, Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument Ground (top of D1 hill) and Dien Bien Phu City Square.
On the background of traditional and modern music, 11 units of the school'seducation and training department performed more than 33 performances, with xoe dances and folk dances imbued with the traditional culture of the local ethnic groups such as Thai, Mong, Lao... Along with that were vibrant, strong, heroic dances associated with the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, heroes, martyrs, and Vietnamese youth...

In recent times, Dien Bien province has had many policies to develop folk songs, folk dances, folk music and street dances for students. The province organized the first Folk Dance and Street Dance Competition for students in Dien Bien province in 2024, with 44 participating units. Outstanding performances at the competition were selected to be performed at locations in Dien Bien Phu city.
