More than 4,300 billion VND in support for fishermen according to Decision 48

(QNgTV)- According to Decision 48/2010 of the Prime Minister , organizations, individuals and households exploiting and providing exploitation services in distant sea areas (Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, DK1) will be supported by the State with fuel costs for round-trip trips of ships, up to a maximum of 4 sea trips/ship/year.

In Quang Ngai , since 2010, the Provincial People's Committee has issued many support decisions, with a total amount of more than 4,300 billion VND for thousands of fishing boats of fishermen who are qualified to participate in exploiting offshore waters.

Most of the above funding is for fuel support for the sea voyage, the rest is for hull insurance, HF communication equipment, and production recovery support. Since the State's support policy, fishermen in the province have been very excited and bold in investing in building new and upgrading fishing boats to participate in seafood exploitation in far-off seas.

The whole province currently has more than 3,000 fishing vessels with a length of 15m or more, of which the majority are fishing vessels with a capacity of 400 - 1,000CV.

In the first 8 months of 2025 alone, the fishery output reached more than 184 thousand tons, reaching nearly 70% of the yearly plan.
