More than 5,000 green shirts volunteer in Hanoi "support exam season"

On June 6, delegations of the Hanoi Youth Union visited and presented gifts to volunteer teams participating in the "Supporting Exam Season" program at high schools: Phan Huy Chu (Dong Da district), Tran Nhan Tong (Hai Ba Trung district), Tran Phu (Hoan Kiem district), Nguyen Gia Thieu (Long Bien district).

At the exam sites, representatives of the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi praised the volunteer spirit, who did not mind the sun or rain to support candidates participating in the exam.

Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi Nguyen Tien Hung said that the program "Supporting the exam season" in 2025, phase 1 is the high school entrance exam taking place from June 6 to 9, 2025. A total of 5,020 young people were selected and trained to participate in the support at 201 exam sites.

In phase 1, 27 universities, academies and colleges with about 1,500 volunteer students supported 97 examination sites in Hanoi; coordinated with volunteer forces in residential areas to organize teams to pick up and drop off candidates with difficult circumstances during examination days at examination sites, especially candidates with mobility difficulties, disabilities or no means of transportation.

At each testing site, the program arranges 15-20 volunteers/shift outside the school gate of the testing site; participates in traffic control, guides candidates to find the exam room location. In addition, volunteers give away free essential items to candidates and their families, such as drinking water, milk, school supplies, raincoats, etc. The exam support teams also support candidates in emergency situations.

Socialized resources for the program "Supporting exam season" phase 1 include: 24,000 bottles of mineral water; 1,000 shirts and hats for volunteers; large umbrellas, raincoats; 10,000 handheld fans and many other items.
