At the program, 630 people of Tang Loong town, Pho Lu town and Phu Nhuan commune of Bao Thang district were examined and screened by doctors and experts from the Respiratory Center, Bach Mai Hospital and the Provincial General Hospital, who took their medical history, risk factors, listened to their hearts and lungs, measured their blood pressure and measured their respiratory function.
Through examination, over 80 cases of bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were detected. All of these cases were consulted by doctors, instructed to take medication and have regular check-ups to monitor and assess the severity of the disease, to avoid worsening and causing dangerous complications.

Currently, medical facilities in the province are managing and treating nearly 2,200 people related to respiratory diseases, of which the number of patients at the Provincial General Hospital accounts for the majority, with 1,116 people. The Respiratory Center of the Provincial General Hospital alone treats about 45-50 patients every day, most of whom are cases of chronic respiratory diseases. The department is also managing and treating about 700 outpatients with bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Through community screening programs, each year the province detects and treats nearly 300 patients with lung diseases, thereby helping patients to be effectively managed and treated, improving their quality of life.
