Da Nang City Chairman Le Trung Chinh requests early retirement

Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh asked for early retirement to facilitate the arrangement of staff after the merger from July 1.

On the afternoon of June 23, at the 24th session of the Da Nang City People's Council, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang said that Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of the City People's Committee and Mr. Le Van Trung - Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, had submitted applications for early retirement to facilitate the arrangement of cadres after the merger from July 1. This was accepted by the Central Government and the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

The City People's Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the great contributions of Mr. Le Trung Chinh and Mr. Le Van Trung over the years. Mr. Thang emphasized that in their positions, the two men were always dedicated, attached to the grassroots, promoted the spirit of democracy and put the city's development interests first.

In particular, Mr. Le Trung Chinh is assessed to have worked well with the City People's Committee in operating, managing, building many important mechanisms and policies, removing difficulties, promoting socio -economic development and ensuring social security for the people. He has also played an outstanding role in the prevention of epidemics and natural disasters in recent years.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh (56 years old, from Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics education and a PhD in Education .

He worked as a teacher for a while and then held many important positions in the education sector of Da Nang city.

In July 2010, he held the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City.

Since March 2016, he has been Secretary of Ngu Hanh Son District Party Committee.

In December 2018, he held the position of Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee.

In December 2020, the People's Council of Da Nang City unanimously elected him to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City.
