In response to this unverified false information, Director of Binh Dinh Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company Le Tien Dung said that this is false information. We respectfully request that water users be cautious in receiving information. The company hopes for the understanding and sharing of water users in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13.
It is known that storm No. 13 has uprooted trees and broken main water pipes on many roads in the communes and wards in the East of Gia Lai province (formerly Binh Dinh province). All pumping stations, wells and water treatment plants have temporarily lost power, causing operations to be interrupted.
After the storm passed, Binh Dinh Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company immediately operated backup generators and mobilized all personnel to work in shifts overnight to repair, restore and clean water supply pipes to promptly serve the people. In addition, the Company also sent water tankers to supply water to Gia Lai Central General Hospital and households on high ground. As of November 9, the Company had completed the repair and supplied water with a pressure of 1.0 - 1.2 kg/cm².
According to the company's leadership, some households currently do not have water because the pipes after the water meter lead to the tanks on the upper floors. The company will make efforts to fix the problem and expects that by November 11, the water pressure in the entire system will return to normal.
