More than 700 candidates take the entrance exam to Nguyen Chi Thanh High School for the Gifted

The exam was held at two locations: Nguyen Chi Thanh High School for the Gifted and Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School, Gia Nghia City.

Candidates will take the test in essay format for 150 minutes. The English test will be a combination of multiple choice and essay format, with an additional speaking test taking place tomorrow morning, June 7.

According to many candidates, this year's specialized subject exams basically followed the curriculum, ensuring differentiation and appropriate openness.

Each subject has about 2-3 questions that differentiate students, which is an opportunity for candidates with outstanding academic performance to achieve high scores. Candidate Tran Gia Binh, who is taking the exam for the History specialized class, shared: "This year's History exam is relatively easy and closely follows the textbook. I reviewed quite carefully so I was able to complete the advanced questions. I hope to get a score of 8 or higher."

Candidate Nguyen Thanh Thuy, grade 9, Nguyen Cong Tru Secondary School, Nhan Co Commune, Dak R'lap District said: "The specialized Literature exam was quite good, especially the social argumentation question. This will probably be the subject for you to increase your score when multiplied by a factor of 2."

In the advanced part, the exam requires candidates to have the ability to think logically, synthesize and apply practical knowledge to achieve high scores. The exam questions are considered suitable for students who study seriously and invest in depth.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Chi Thanh High School for the Gifted will enroll 350 students for 9 specialized classes including: Math, Literature, English, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History and Geography. Of which, Math has 70 quotas, the remaining subjects each have 35 quotas.

However, the number of applications for the exam is double the target. Some subjects have high competition rates such as: Literature with 135 applications, Math 134 applications, English 78 applications, Physics 70 applications.

Geography and Chemistry each have 68 applications; History 57 applications, Biology 54 applications and Information Technology has the lowest number with 46 applications.

Previously, candidates completed 3 compulsory subjects including Literature, Math and English on June 4 and 5. The results of the specialized subjects will be calculated with a coefficient of 2 in the total admission score.

During the exam this afternoon, despite the rainy weather, thanks to the active support from volunteers, parents and authorities, candidates arrived at the exam site on time, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Security, order, health care , and logistics at the examination sites continue to be maintained seriously and safely. There have been no violations of examination regulations in the province.

According to the Department of Education and Training, four candidates were absent from the specialized subject exam. At the two exam sites, there were no violations of exam regulations.
