The Red River Bridge has a total length of 1,400m with 27 spans, including 5 main bridge spans and a central span of 120m crossing the river.

The total investment for the project is nearly 1,000 billion VND. This bridge spans the Red River, connecting Tien Hai district (Thai Binh province) and Giao Thuy district (Nam Dinh province).
The completion of the Red River Bridge is a significant milestone, marking the final bridge to be completed as part of the coastal road project in Thai Binh province, and is considered the most important component of the entire route.
This project is of significant importance not only in contributing to the completion of transportation infrastructure in the region, forming a main coastal transportation axis for socio -economic development, but also in strengthening national defense and security, responding to climate change; in particular, it is crucial for the development of the Thai Binh Economic Zone.
Workers poured the final concrete blocks to complete the bridge.
After the completion and operation of the coastal road project in Thai Binh province, which is part of the North-South coastal road network plan, Thai Binh, with its strategic location bordering potential economic regions such as Quang Ninh and Hai Phong to the north and Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh to the south, will be able to fully utilize the trade advantages when the coastal road is completed, becoming a connecting bridge linking the coastal corridor between provinces.
Travel time from Thai Binh to Ha Long ( Quang Ninh ) is now only 90 minutes instead of 2.5 hours as before, to Van Don Airport in just 150 minutes, and to Mong Cai Border Gate in 180 minutes.
