Hue fines hundreds of traffic violations during Tet

(NLDO) - During the 6-day Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, Hue City Police handled 421 traffic violations, including 143 cases of alcohol concentration violations.

Hue City Police said that during the Lunar New Year holidays this year, the city's traffic police force will increase patrols, control, and ensure traffic order and safety.

During the 6-day Tet holiday (from January 25 to January 30), Hue City Traffic Police handled 421 traffic violations, a decrease of 357 cases compared to the 6 days of the 2024 Giap Thin Tet holiday; temporarily detained 153 vehicles, and revoked 27 driving licenses.

Among the violations, there were 143 cases of alcohol concentration violations and 114 cases of speeding violations.

In Hue City, there were 7 traffic accidents, killing 1 person and injuring 11 others.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Traffic Police force of Hue City will conduct regular and continuous patrols, controls, and handling, especially on key routes and areas during hours with potential risks of causing traffic accidents.

At the same time, coordinate with other forces to focus on inspecting and strictly handling violations; combine with promoting propaganda to raise awareness and sense of law compliance for people. During the implementation process, cases of non-compliance with control, obstruction, and resistance to law enforcement officers will be strictly handled in accordance with the provisions of law; especially strictly control and strictly handle violations related to the use of alcohol while driving.

In the coming time, the city's traffic police force will mobilize all its forces to continue patrolling "throughout the night, through Tet" to maintain peace on the roads and strictly and thoroughly handle all violations of traffic safety laws "without exception, without forbidden areas".
