According to the State Bank of Vietnam, the bad debt situation at some credit institutions in the province has increased compared to the beginning of the year. The outstanding bad credit balance in the province as of now is estimated at VND1,315 billion, accounting for 1.48% of the total outstanding debt and an increase of VND530 billion compared to the beginning of the year. The reason is that difficulties in production and business activities have negatively affected the financial situation and debt repayment ability of customers.
Currently, credit institutions continue to promote the handling of bad debts. In the first 7 months of 2023, credit institutions in the province are estimated to have handled over 155 billion VND of bad debts, mainly collecting debts from customers.
