Phu Tan district consults voters on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units

According to the new plan, the administrative units after the merger are expected to include: Phu An Commune (including Phu An, Phu Tho, Phu Xuan communes); Cho Vam Commune (including Cho Vam town, Phu Thanh, Phu Thanh communes); Binh Thanh Dong Commune (including Binh Thanh Dong, Phu Binh, Hiep Xuong communes), Hoa Lac Commune (including Hoa Lac, Phu Hiep communes), Phu Lam Commune (including Long Hoa, Phu Lam, Phu Long communes).

As for the name of Phu Tan commune (including Phu My town, Tan Hoa, Tan Trung and Phu Hung communes), it will remain the same and no further comments will be taken because this is a long-standing place name, consistent with the tradition and history of the locality.

From early morning, localities established teams to visit each household to propagate the arrangement of administrative units at provincial and communal levels, and the selection of commune names. After listening to voters' opinions, the naming of communes was changed to suit local culture and history, replacing the common naming method of taking the place name Phu Tan along with the previous direction.
