This is the third consecutive year that Vietnamese golf has been named in the prestigious tournament, following the victories of Nguyen Anh Minh (2023) and Nguyen Duc Son (2024), affirming the increasingly strong position of the country's young generation of athletes. Nguyen Tuan Anh's success not only extends the impressive achievements of Vietnamese golf, but also marks an important step forward in the journey to regional and international stature of a generation of increasingly mature talents.
After 2 excellent rounds to take the lead with a total score of (-7), Tuan Anh entered the decisive round with no small amount of pressure from his pursuers, especially Jaemin Park from Korea. Starting the Final day smoothly with birdies at holes 2, 3 and 9, Tuan Anh still maintained the advantage although Jaemin Park also followed closely with 3 similar birdies. The match started to get tense when both entered the back lane, where the smallest mistakes could change the situation. Tuan Anh made a bogey at hole 10, then a double bogey at hole 16, bringing the total score to (-7), while Jaemin Park took the opportunity to score another birdie at hole 15, narrowing the gap to only 1 stroke.

The drama reached its climax in the last two holes. After keeping par at hole 17, Jaemin Park birdied at hole 18 to tie the score, putting Tuan Anh in a position to succeed with a decisive putt from 3 feet away. Under great pressure, the 15-year-old golfer remained steadfast, making an accurate birdie putt to win by a narrow margin, ending the journey with a well-deserved and emotional championship.
This victory is not only a brilliant step forward in Tuan Anh's career, but also a testament to the sustainable development of young Vietnamese golf. In recent years, Vietnamese golf has been gradually creating its own identity with a series of impressive achievements: from the 32nd SEA Games Gold Medal of Le Khanh Hung, to the feats of Anh Minh and Duc Son at the Faldo Series, or the miracle at the Nomura Cup 2024. All create a solid foundation for the next generation - talents nurtured in a professional training environment with long-term orientation.
Besides Tuan Anh, Doan Uy also played steadily, scoring rounds 68-73-74 to achieve a total score of (+2), ranking 10th overall and 3rd in the U21 Men's group. Nguyen Duc Son - the 2024 champion - although unable to defend his title, still played with determination to finish in 20th place overall and 5th in the U21 Men's group.
The remaining young members such as Ha Nam Khanh, Nguyen Trong Hoang, Ho Anh Huy, Ngo Thanh Son, Tran The Bao, Nguyen Xuan Vuong, Nguyen Quoc Bao Huy, Than Bao Nghi, Nguyen Khanh Linh, Nguyen Bao Chau and Hana Vuong also have valuable experiences, accumulating more international competition skills.
Faldo Series Asia Grand Final 2025 is not only a tournament, but also a milestone to evaluate the maturity of Vietnamese youth golf, a testament to the effectiveness of the long-term, methodical investment strategy and efforts of the Vietnam Golf Association with the youth golf movement in the country.
