Urban green spaces are regularly maintained and pruned to ensure healthy growth.
To ensure the synchronized planting of new trees along roads, especially in newly upgraded roads and parks, the City's Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Planning is conducting surveys to propose a plan for planting new trees, replanting, and decorating trees in several locations such as: the embankment in Ward 2; the Thong Nhat canal embankment in Ward 1; Hung Vuong street, etc.
The green spaces are constantly being replanted. The area of green space increases annually, averaging 3,000-4,000 m2.
Aiming for a comprehensively developed urban area that ensures a green, clean, and beautiful urban environment and landscape, in addition to investing in and caring for trees, the city will focus on solutions to raise public awareness and create consensus, limiting the unauthorized cutting and pruning of trees that negatively impacts their growth.
